Scrumptious Italian food FULL of pizzazz! The calzone is literally the size of a small child, the pasta was creamy and delicious - a classic, you can't beat a cold cuts hero sandwich, and the meatballs are just to die for! They even had an accordian player waltzing around the restaurant! 10/10, what an experience!
Had a great dining experience at Nona Amelia’s last night. Through Christine’s expertise we had a wonderful Chianti. It was our first time, we sat in the bar area, and Justine was a great server with ideas and suggestions. Thank you for a fun evening. Also enjoyed the roving accordion music.
We had amazing service and huge portions! This was such a great experience and the food was delicious!
For nearly 50 years Nonna Emilia's has been serving sumptuous authentic Italian cuisine. Our visit yesterday was sheer bliss! I ordered Nonna's combo calzone. Seriously, it could easily feed four people! It's humongous! The soft, golden brown crust artfully surrounds the delectable filling... Sausage, meatballs, olives, the various cheeses.. all in a mouth watering signature sauce. Seasoned to perfection!! The "tower" of piping hot, bubbling sauce of my husband's lasagna was crazy wonderful! The atmosphere is cozy and reminiscent of old Italy.. Love that! Our server was very friendly and a delight. Parking is wide open and the aroma of garlic meets you the minute you open your car door. Nonna Emilia's has been highly regarded for years.. for good reason. They have mastered the art of Italiano cooking. Go and see if I'm not right! Ciao!!
Tonight we got to celebrate my daughter's birthday at her favorite place. She got brave and decided to try my creamy pesto and absolutely loved it! I ended up trading plates with her because of it. Our waitress Diane was wonderful and checked up on us often, we even got to meet the owner for the first time. Every bite tasted amazing as always. and the Tirimasu?.. Definitely a must in our family. Thank you guys for a wonderful dining experience.
You haven’t had Italian until you’ve been here. Period I thought I understood Italian food. I thought I understood big portions. I thought I’d been to restaurants with character. Then I walked into Nonna Emilia Ristorante Italiano in Aloha Oregon and suddenly I realized I’d been playing in the kiddie pool Step into this place and you’re instantly hit with a vibe that feels like a warm hug from a Sicilian grandma you didn’t know you had. It’s cozy loud and alive. There’s an accordion player walking around the dining room taking song requests like it’s a wedding in Naples and somehow it just works. The energy is incredible. The authenticity is unmatched Q What’s the food like A No joke It’s better than you expect We ordered the lemon chicken pasta and I’m not even being dramatic when I say I almost levitated. Creamy lemony buttery and perfectly seasoned like sunshine in a bowl. Then we kept going because self control doesn’t exist here! Spaghetti and Meatballs Giant juicy meatballs with a sauce that tastes like it simmered all Sunday. Lasagna Layered like a dream Rich cheesy with edges that crisp up just right. Pizza Heavy duty No frills Just unapologetically loaded and delicious. Caesar Salad Cold crisp and the perfect contrast to the richness of everything else. Garlic Cheesy Bread This should be illegal Reviewers swear by it and now I do too Q Did we try the calzone A Not this time but believe me it’s already on the list for the next round According to what feels like every single Google review they’re the size of your head and worth every bite Q How are the vibes really A Think Italian family reunion but make it a restaurant This isn’t some slick minimal spot with quiet background music This is loud alive and full of heart The decor hasn’t changed in years and that’s exactly why it works You’re not just eating You’re feeling something Pro Tips: - Come on an empty stomach You’ll leave full and then some - Order more than you think you need Leftovers hit different the next day -Let the accordion player play It’s part of the magic Bring friends or family This place was made for sharing Final Verdict Nonna Emilia Ristorante Italiano is the kind of place that makes you feel something It’s not trendy It’s not trying too hard It just is and that’s what makes it so special If you’re anywhere near Aloha Oregon this is your move If you’re visiting the state put this at the top of your list We don’t live here but every time we come to see family this is stop number one because nothing else compares Trust me You’ll walk in a customer and leave feeling like family
Carolyn was the absolute best... The homemade limoncello was spectacular... I asked for a recommendation and I had Tuscan chicken..so, so,so good. Fettuccine Alfredo ( don't waste your time) so much food. Can't wait to go back.Lasagna was excellent... Creamy basil pasta.
We have been living in Hillsboro since 2015 and always told ourselves that we would stop by to eat here. We finally did recently and we were not disappointed!! We have a large family and the staff were welcoming, service was amazing and the pizza was delicious (and big). We found our new favorite spot. Great atmosphere, friendly people and just a great way to spend time breaking bread with loved ones. Will recommend to anyone that I know!!
